Grief Song Circle
Gentle, sacred spaces where we use the power of communal singing to navigate the landscape of loss.
Service Description
Our grief song circle is a gentle, supportive space for anyone living with loss, whether your bereavement is recent or long‑standing. You don’t need any singing experience – just a willingness to be present with your feelings and listen or join in as you’re able. A typical session begins with a short welcome and grounding, followed by simple songs and chants chosen to honour grief, love and remembrance. We sing in easy call‑and‑response or repeating patterns, with plenty of time for silence, reflection and optional sharing. You’re always free to sit quietly, hum along, or sing out when you feel ready. Sessions take place at various North Devon locations, on Sundays from 2pm to 4pm. Our first session is on Sunday 8th November, 2pm - 4pm at Filleigh Village Hall, Filleigh, Barnstaple EX32 0RS. Please arrive a little early so you can settle into the space before we begin. Bring a bottle of water, comfortable clothes and anything that helps you feel supported (for example a journal, small object of remembrance, or a shawl/blanket). You don’t need to prepare anything in advance – just give yourself time to arrive gently and know that all emotions are welcome here.
